Has Deadpool officially entered the MCU?
It looks that way in the latest video Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds has shared online. In it, Deadpool reacts to the Free Guy trailer with his Marvel guest Korg (Taika Waitita). It’s a clever (and no doubt expensive) marketing tactic to get more eyes on Reynolds and Waitita’s next film Free Guy. Let’s take a look.
Okay, I loved that Cruella joke. Otherwise, classic self-referential Deadpool jokes aside, it was okay. I don’t understand why Korg would know about getting hired by Marvel, or emails for that matter. I thought breaking the fourth wall and knowing he was in a movie only extended to Deadpool (and She-Hulk). Now Korg is doing it?
Of course, I doubt this video is canon, so I’ll stop over analyzing the video short now.
