‘Downton Abbey’ Producer Confirms a Sequel is in the Works

It looks like we haven’t seen the last of the Crawleys.

Following the huge success of the Downton Abbey film this summer, producer Graham Neame confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that a sequel is in the works:

“We’re working on what the story is, and when we might be able to make it. But it’s the same as the first time around: we have to try and get everyone back together again. And that was very challenging.”

Fans waited four years for a continuation to the acclaimed British historical period drama. Personally, I loved every minute of the film. It felt like a whole new season of the series that had been expertly edited down to a two-hour film with all the best stuff.

I will continue to flock to the theaters to see more Downton Abbey, and based on the almost $200 million worldwide haul of the first film, I figure I’m not alone.

If you’re a fan of Downton Abbey, what do you hope to see in the sequel?
