Warner Bros. has just released the final trailer for SCOOB! and it looks to set up a whole bunch of spin-offs. Not that I’m complaining. I’m all for more Hanna-Barbera love.
Scooby-Doo and Mystery Incorporated are back! Unfortunately, I have mixed feelings about it.
First, I cannot get behind Will Forte as Shaggy. Honesty, I’m not sure why they just didn’t bring Matthew Lillard back. He was a great successor to Casey Kasem.
Otherwise, Fred’s design still looks stupid, but I like Daphne and Velma’s looks and voices. I sort of wish Scoob! would have focused just on Scooby-Doo material before attempting to launch a connected universe, but that’s a minor nitpick. Mark Wahlberg as Blue Falcon is pretty great. I just hope that the other Hanna-Barbera characters don’t outshine Scooby-Doo.
Plot Synopsis:
Scoob! hits theaters May 15, 2020.
