During the Lucasfilm panel at Star Wars Celebration last week, Harrison Ford revealed to those in attendance that the fifth film in the popular action-adventure franchise will hit theaters on June 30, 2023.
No plot details have been revealed, but the rumor is that the film will be set in the 1960s and revolve around the Space Race between the United States and the Soviet Union. James Mangold directed the picture after taking over the franchise reins from Steven Spielberg. Jez Butterworth, John-Henry Butterworth, and Mangold co-write the film’s script.
In addition to Ford, the film’s ensemble cast includes Antonia Banderas, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen, Boyd Holbrook, Shaunette Renée Wilson, Thomas Kretschmann, and Toby Jones.
