Harrison Ford Says ‘Indiana Jones 5’ Starts Production in Two Months

It’s time to get that whip cracking!

In a recent interview with CBS Sunday Morning, Harrison Ford revealed that Indiana Jones 5 will start shooting in a couple months. If we do the math that means it will roughly start in April or May at the latest.

Ford also briefly discussed returning to the role:

“I’m always delighted to come back to these characters. You know, when we have the opportunity to make another it’s because people have enjoyed them. I feel obliged to make sure that our efforts are as ambitious as they were when we started. You have a sense of responsibility to your customers.”

That’s right, we’re all customers in a consumer world! Here’s why Ford finds it weird to call us fans:

“I think of the people that go to my movies more as customers than I do as fans. Fans feels kind of weird to me, but always has. But the fact that these people support my business and I’m responsible to them for the quality of the service that I offer, that feels better to me.”

Man, Harrison Ford just gets better with age. I love his zero-fucks attitude towards the Star Wars and Indiana Jones fandoms. He also recently revealed in a different interview that he has no clue what a force ghost is, and he could care less. We need more people like Ford who just don’t get wrapped up in needing to know every minute detail. And I am well aware of the irony as I type out an article on providing the smallest Indiana Jones 5 update.

Steven Spielberg is back to direct and David Koepp is writing the screenplay. Otherwise, all we know is that Indiana Jones 5 hits theaters July 9, 2021.

Are you excited to be one of Harrison Ford’s loyal customers? Will you make him happy and see Indiana Jones 5 in theaters?
