Jason Momoa in Talks for ‘Fast and Furious 10’

The Hollywood Reporter details that a popular DC Comics actor might be joining The Fast Saga soon.

Jason Momoa (Aquaman) is currently in final negotiations to appear in the tenth Fast & Furious movie. Plot details are currently unknown, but sources state that Momoa could be one of the film’s villains. Universal declined to comment on the casting.

Justin Lin will return to the director’s chair after directing the third to sixth and ninth films in the franchise. Franchise mainstays Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Charlize Theron, and Sung Kang are also returning for Fast & Furious 10.

Who won’t be back? Dwayne Johnson. Despite a plea from Diesel to return to the franchise as Hobbs, Johnson confirmed that he was finished with the Fast & Furious franchise. Is Jason Momoa being written into the film as a replacement for Johnson’s Hobbs? I guess time will tell.

Fast & Furious 10 begins shooting this spring. It is currently scheduled to hit theaters on May 19, 2023.
