‘John Wick 4’ Adds Three More to Cast, But Not Wesley Snipes

The cast for John Wick: Chapter 4 continues to grow.

Collider reports that Shamier Anderson (Stowaway) and Bill Skarsgård (It) have joined the cast of the upcoming action sequel. Additionally, Deadline reports that Hiroyuki Sanada (Mortal Kombat) has also signed on for a role.

Regarding Anderson’s casting, director Chad Stahelski expressed his pleasure at getting to work with the actor:

“It’s a thrill to be working with an actor of Shamier’s calibre. He’s proven exceptional with drama and action and is a compelling presence on screen.”

No word yet on who Skarsgård and Sanada are playing. The trio join a cast of newcomers that include Donnie Yen and Rina Sawayama. Additionally, reports are confirming that Laurence Fishburne will be reprising his role as The Bowery King in the sequel.

However, despite all the new casting additions, one actor that will NOT be appearing in the sequel is Wesley Snipes. Although there were rumors he had signed on circulating around the web yesterday, THR‘s Borys Kit tweeted that the rumors were not true. He did say that there “were some discussions a little while ago but it didn’t work out.”

John Wick: Chapter 4 hits theaters May 27, 2022.
