Vertical Entertainment has just released a slightly unsettling trailer for Wayne Roberts’ feature directorial debut, Katie Says Goodbye. The indie drama stars Olivia Cooke (Me and Earl and the Dying Girl) and Christopher Abbott (It Comes at Night) as a a small town waitress who is mistreated by nearly everyone in her life and an ex-con named Bruno. It also features a rare dramatic role from Jim Belushi.
It seems like a pretty solid little drama with that “makes you feel uncomfortable vibe” the whole time you watch it. But based on the trailer alone, the performances are worth a watch when it comes out.
Plot Synopsis:
Katie Says Goodbye comes to theaters and VOD on June 7.
