Lily Gladstone is making a horror movie.
According to Deadline, Gladstone is attached to star in The Curse of Silver opposite Kiowa Gordon (Dark Winds). The two previously starred together in Quantum Cowboys. Geoff Marslett, who directed Quantum Cowboys, will co-direct The Curse of Silver with Gordon.
The supernatural horror-western is set on the “lawless Texas-Mexico border in the aftermath of the Civil War,” following “two Union deserters who drag a cursed chest of Confederate silver into a besieged town, unwittingly unleashing supernatural violence.”
The screenplay for The Curse of Silver was written by Marslett and Rafael A. Ruiz. A start date has not been set yet.
Gladstone has been working steadily since her breakout role as Mollie Kyle in Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon. She received an Oscar nomination for Best Actress for her performance. Up ahead for Gladstone is The Thomas Crown Affair, which hits theaters in March 2027.
