Marvel Studios has just released an official trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder. This one shows more than the previous teaser, but still doesn’t give away the farm.
Well alright, alright, alright. I’m so excited for this entry in the Thor series. This trailer focuses more on Thor and less on the Guardians, which is nice. I like the little storytelling aspect by Korg. Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher looks great as we finally get to see him in all his glory. And I gotta say, I like this updated Jane Foster too.
Anyway, I’m all in. So check out the new poster below too.
Plot Synopsis:
The film finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced – a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor. Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.
Thor: Love and Thunder opens in theaters on July 8, 2022.
