Netflix Renews ‘You’ for a Third Season

You has been renewed for a third season on Netflix, Variety reports.

I’m a huge fan of the creepy thriller series on the streaming service, and couldn’t be more excited! I just finished season 2 last week and it ended with some serious teases.

Season 3 will consist of 10 episodes and drop sometime in 2021. Penn Badgley and Victoria Pedretti will both be back as Joe Goldberg and Love Quinn.

Series co-creators Sera Gamble and Greg Berlanti will return as executive producers, with Gamble also returning as showrunner. I’m interested to see where they take the story next as Caroline Kepnes (the author of the books the series is based on) hasn’t released the next book.

However, at this stage, You has taken some creative liberties with the source material. Season 2 was a very loose adaptation of Kepnes’ Hidden Bodies. That said, I would like them to continue to draw from whatever arc Kepnes is writing for Joe Goldberg.

2021 will be a long wait, but at least I can spend that time rereading the books and rewatching the first two seasons.

Are you a fan of You? What did you think of the cliffhanger tease at the end of season 2?
