New ‘1917’ Trailer

Universal has just released the new 1917 trailer, and man I am so ready for this film.

This movie just continues to look better and better. The ambitious, one-shot look that Mendes and company is going for is ambitious as hell, and I’d be leaning heavily into that approach in the marketing if I was them. But they’re not, so maybe they want to save the wonder for when you see it.

Plot Synopsis:

At the height of the First World War, two young British soldiers, Schofield (Captain Fantastic’s George MacKay) and Blake (Game of Thrones’ Dean-Charles Chapman) are given a seemingly impossible mission. In a race against time, they must cross enemy territory and deliver a message that will stop a deadly attack on hundreds of soldiers—Blake’s own brother among them.

1917 has a limited release starting December 25, 2019, and hits theaters wide January 10, 2020.
