New Extended Red Band Clip Offers Up Some ‘Brightburn’ Carnage

IGN shared a Red Band clip of the James Gunn produced Brightburn, which is a hybrid super-villain origin story/creepy kid flick. The MPAA has given the film an “R” rating for “horror violence/bloody images, and language,“ and rating is on full display in this extended clip.

Brightburn stars Elizabeth Banks in what looks like a super-villain origin story that takes the Superman concepts and flips it on its head asking, “what if he wasn’t a hero to mankind but here for something more sinister?”

Jackson A. Dunn and David Denman also star.

I don’t know about you guys, but I am pretty excited for this. After seeing the kind of violence we are in for in the Red Band clip, makes me even more pumped. The concept seems so simple, it just comes down to the execution.

BrightBurn arrives in theaters on May 24, 2019.
