New ‘Lady and the Tramp’ Trailer

Disney has released a new Lady and the Tramp trailer that is a major improvement over the first trailer.

As I mentioned above, I think this is a much better trailer than the first one that was released. You see much more of the story (even if we might already know it), and we get to see the dogs talking and how that will look. And to be honest, it looks sort of weird.

Lady and the Tramp is unlike other current Disney remakes in that it actually used real dogs for Lady, Tramp, and the rest of the furballs, instead of computer-generated imagery. But, they added some digital manipulation to the mouths (and probably face) to make it appear that they are talking. That’s the part that sort of comes off uncanny. Maybe it’ll look better when you watch the film, and it’s only a minor nitpick, so I’m not too concerned about it.

Also, I’m not sure if Justin Theroux is the right voice for Tramp. His voice is lacking a bit of street edge. Again, maybe it’ll be better when you watch the film as a whole. Overall, this looks like another solid addition into Disney’s live-action remake canon.

Plot Synopsis:

In Disney+’s “Lady and the Tramp,” a timeless re-telling of the 1955 animated classic, a pampered house dog and a tough but lovable stray embark on an unexpected adventure and, despite their differences, grow closer and come to understand the value of home.

Lady and the Tramp hits streaming November 12, 2019 on Disney+.
