‘Noelle’ Trailer: Anna Kendrick and Bill Hader Are Santa’s Kiddos

At the D23 Expo, Disney released the official trailer for Noelle, an upcoming Christmas movie for Disney+ that stars Anna Kendrick and Bill Hader.

Way before Disney+ was even a glimmer in Disney’s eye, Noelle was originally slated for a theatrical release. Those plans have obviously changed with the film being one of the first Disney+ originals to stream on the platform (alongside Lady and the Tramp and The Mandalorian).

The trailer gives us a pretty good idea at the film’s plot beats and how it will probably end (female Santa Claus). I think Anna Kendrick is perfect for a role like this and she plays the role of Noelle Kringle easily. I have a soft spot for Christmas films, so I may have to check this one out eventually.

Plot Synopsis:

In the upcoming holiday comedy, Kris Kringle’s daughter is full of Christmas spirit and holiday fun, but wishes she could do something “important” like her beloved brother Nick, who will take over from their father this Christmas. When Nick is about to crumble like a gingerbread cookie from all the pressure, Noelle suggests he take a break and get away…but when he doesn’t return, Noelle must find her brother and bring him back in time to save Christmas.

Noelle streams November 12, 2019 on Disney+.
