Inspired by the popular online game that asks people to choose one movie from a group of four, One Choice… is pretty much the same game. Readers will be given four similar movies and asked to choose one. Now here’s the catch, the other three movies will be gone forever, wiped from your brain as if they never existed. Are you ready to theoretically live in a world where you have The Empire Strikes Back but not Star Wars or Return of the Jedi? What about the 1989 Batman movie but not Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight? The choice is yours, screenager, so choose wisely.
With Carrie, the latest horror show from Mike Flanagan, arriving on Prime Video yesterday, and it being October, a.k.a. Spooky Season, One Choice is back to make the screenagers choose between some of Flanagan’s previous small-screen series.
Here are the four shows:
The Haunting of Hill House (2018)
Cast: Michiel Huisman, Carla Gugino, and Henry Thomas, among others
Synopsis: Flashing between past and present, a fractured family confronts haunting memories of their old home and the terrifying events that drove them from it.
Midnight Mass (2021)
Cast: Kate Siegel, Zach Gilford, and Kristin Lehman, among others
Synopsis: An isolated island community experiences miraculous events – and frightening omens – after the arrival of a charismatic, mysterious young priest.
The Midnight Club (2022)
Cast: Iman Benson, Igby Rigney, and Ruth Codd, among others
Synopsis: At a hospice for terminally ill young adults, eight patients come together every night at midnight to tell each other stories – and make a pact that the next of them to die will give the group a sign from the beyond.
The Fall of the House of Usher (2023)
Cast: Carla Gugino, Bruce Greenwood, Mary McDonnell, among others
Synopsis: The children of Roderick Usher, a CEO of a corrupt pharmaceutical company, begin to die in mysterious, brutal ways.
So, will it be The Haunting of Hill House, Midnight Mass, The Midnight Club, or The Fall of the House of Usher? It’s time to choose. What will be your One Choice?
