Patrick Dempsey and Addison Rae to Star in Slasher Film ‘Thanksgiving’

Patrick Dempsey and Addison Rae are the first two actors to board Eli Roth‘s Thanksgiving, a full-length feature based on the infamous fake trailer from Grindhouse.

Deadline first reported the casting. While Dempsey isn’t officially confirmed at this time, Rae seems to be, as the TikToker-turned-actress took to Instagram to confirm the news with the caption that read: “Let’s eat.”

Dempsey is expected to be one of the fewer old actors in the film. Roth reportedly wanted a face front and center and thought Dempsey would be perfect given that Thanksgiving isn’t the sort of film he’d usually star in.

Spyglass Media is producing the picture, with Roth directing from a screenplay penned by Jeff Rendel. Shooting is expected to commence next month in Toronto. The logline for Thanksgiving reads as follows: A killer visits a small town in Massachusetts with the hopes of creating a carving board out of the town’s turkey-loving inhabitants.”
