15 years after RoboCop: Prime Directives, the robot cop is heading back to the small screen with a new live-action show.
Per Deadline, Amazon MGM Studios has ordered a new Robocop series based on the popular sci-fi movie franchise. Peter Ocko will serve as writer, executive producer, and showrunner. James Wan is on board to executive produce with Michael Clear and Rob Hackett through Blumhouse Atomic Monster.
A RoboCop series has been in development since 2023. Ed Neumeier, co-creator and co-writer of the original 1987 RoboCop film, will also serve as an executive producer.

In RoboCop, a giant tech conglomerate convinces the city to place a powerful robot on its police force – a robot implanted with the consciousness of beloved, fallen officer Alex Murphy. The movie is best known for its social satire, blending action with a critique of corporate greed, privatization, and the nature of identity.
