Paramount has released an official trailer for Scream, the fifth entry in the beloved slasher series of the same name. Let’s take a look.
Honestly, I sort of wanted more original. The trailer feels like a rehash of the previous films with story beats pulled right from Scream 4. Fingers crossed this trailer is misdirection and that the creatives want to save the best parts for when we’re actually in theaters watching Scream.
David Arquette, Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, Roger L. Jackson, and Marley Shelton all reprise their roles from previous Scream films. They are joined by Melissa Barrera, Jenna Ortega, Jack Quaid, Mason Gooding, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Dylan Minnette, Mikey Madison, Sonia Ben Ammar, and Kyle Gallner.
