Duke in G.I. Joe

The next installments in two major Paramount franchises have just received release dates.

The upcoming G.I. Joe reboot from Danny McBride will hit theaters on October 20, 2028, per Deadline. Bradley Cooper is starring as Duke, the leader of the titular military unit. Channing Tatum previously played the character in the 2009 film G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra and its 2013 sequel Retaliation.

McBride will make his feature directorial debut on the G.I. Joe movie. He also wrote the screenplay for the movie with Jeff Fradley and John Carcieri. Plot details are under wraps, although it’s confirmed to take place in Springfield, which is a town that’s secretly all COBRA.

Meanwhile, Blumhouse Atomic‘s new Paranormal Activity movie is shifting from May 21, 2027 to October 22, 2027. Ian Tuason is directing, with Chase Yi, Sonia Mena, and Maya Da Costa starring.
