‘Shaun The Sheep Movie: Farmageddon’ Trailer: One Giant Leap for Lamb Kind

The latest trailer for StudioCanal‘s Shawn the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon has dropped and it’s a little bit on the softer and more cuddly side. Nonetheless, get ready to see what happens when a friendly, dog-eared alien drops by Earth and has a close encounter of the furred kind (see, that’s not my joke and I don’t have to feel bad for repeating it.

And yet, I do.)

I’m not saying they should have launched right into the cattle mutilation gags, but this latest trailer feels a good bit too saccharine; I’m guessing someone decided that the primary viewing public would be the toddler/I-pour-vodquil-in-my-$15-jumbo-coke-parents crowd.

I think the last trailer featured more of the deadpan animated slapstick that we’ve come to expect from Aardman Studios:

Shaun The Sheep Movie: Farmageddon is directed by Will Becher (2010’s Shawn the Sheep TV shorts) and Richard Phelan (who was a writer for the same) and stars three more Shawn the Sheep alums in Justin FletcherKate Harbour and John Sparkes.

Plot Synopsis:

When an alien with amazing powers crash-lands near Mossy Bottom Farm, Shaun the Sheep goes on a mission to shepherd the intergalactic visitor home before a sinister organisation can capture her.

Shawn the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon hits theatres 18th of October 2019

What do you guys think? Any Shawn the Sheep fans out there? What about your miniature Wasteoids…I assume people spawn things other than tumours out in the Wasteland.
