‘Star Wars: The Bad Batch’ Trailer: Clone Force 99 is Back

Lucasfilm has released a new official trailer for Star Wars: The Bad Batch. The upcoming animated series is a spin-off of Star Wars: The Clone Wars and will follow Clone Force 99, an experimental crew of clone warriors, after the events of The Clone Wars.

This looks okay. It seems like the series might be closer to the timeline of the Original Trilogy now given the appearance of Ming Na-Wen‘s Fennec Shand in the trailer who first appeared in The Mandalorian.

I’m sure The Bad Batch will scratch that Star Wars itch for many fans who are looking for more content from the galaxy far, far away. However, personally, I’m still waiting for my Jar Jar and the Ewoks comedy-heist film.

Plot Synopsis:

Star Wars: The Bad Batch” follows the elite and experimental clones of the Bad Batch (first introduced in “The Clone Wars”) as they find their way in a rapidly changing galaxy in the immediate aftermath of the Clone War. Members of Bad Batch—a unique squad of clones who vary genetically from their brothers in the Clone Army—each possess a singular exceptional skill that makes them extraordinarily effective soldiers and a formidable crew.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch premieres May 4, 2021 only on Disney+.
