Jason Bateman Meets Batman’s Rogues Gallery in New State Farm Ad

Riddler, Two-Face, Joker, and Poison Ivy in the Bateman vs. Batman State Farm ad.

Step aside Batman, there’s a new vigilante hero fighting crime on the streets of Gotham City. Jason Bateman has debuted his superhero alter ego Bate-Man in a new commercial for State Farm.

The insurance company has launched a clever ad campaign titled Batman vs. Bateman, which aims to highlight that having insurance isn’t the same as having State Farm, just like Bateman fighting crime in Gotham isn’t the same as having Batman doing it.

Check out the extended cut of the commercial, which features comics-accurate takes on Batman’s rogues gallery, as well as celebrity appearances by artist SZA (as Catwoman), content creator Jordan Howlett (as Commissioner Gordon), streamer Kai Cenat, and, of course, Jake from State Farm.

If you’re thinking, “Why didn’t this drop during the Super Bow?”, well that’s exactly where it was supposed to premiere! State Farm decided to postpone the ad campaign due to the Los Angeles wildfires (and no doubt the controversy they found themselves in over it). The 60-second version of this ad will now debut during the Big 10 Men’s Championship on March 15 and will continue to air throughout all the college basketball action for the remainder of the month.

Do you hope Batman’s rogues gallery looks like this in James Gunn’s DC Universe?
