Jason Momoa is finally playing Lobo.
Per Deadline, the actor has been tapped to star as his favorite DC character in Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. Momoa confirmed the casting on Instagram with a caption that read, “They called.”
Plot details for the new Supergirl are under wraps, although the movie is based on Tom King’s 2022 comic book series Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, which Bilquis Evely illustrated. Production begins on January 13.
Milly Alcock has been cast as the title superhero, with Matthias Schoenaerts on board as villain Krem of the Yellow Hill. The only other confirmed cast member at this time is Eve Ridley, who will play Ruthye Mary Knolle.
Craig Gillespie will direct from a script by Ana Nogueira. Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow hits theaters on June 26, 2026.
