Scarlett Johansson seemingly can’t say no to a franchise role.
According to Deadline, the fan-favorite actor in final negotiations with the studio and director Matt Reeves for one of the new roles in The Batman Part II. It’s unclear which character she might play.
Johansson seems to revel in playing within popular franchises, having spent close to a decade playing Black Widow in the MCU. She is now the current lead protagonist of Universal’s Jurassic World series, and is in talks to star in Mike Flanagan’s new Exorcist movie.
The DC Studios sequel is set to start production in the spring, ahead of its theatrical release on October 1, 2027.
