Glen Powell is officially part of the The Super Mario Galaxy Movie voice cast.
Nintendo has revealed that Powell will voice Fox McCloud, the main protagonist of the company’s Star Fox video game franchise, in the animated The Super Mario Bros. Movie sequel. The casting comes after Nintendo surprisingly revealed Fox McCloud’s inclusion with a character poster earlier this week.
Powell’s casting definitely suggests that Nintendo and Illumination, the animation studio behind the Mario movies, might want to produce a Star Fox movie in the near future. I mean, if Seth Rogen’s Donkey Kong can be rumored to get a movie, why not Star Fox? Is this all leading to The Super Smash Bros. Movie by the end of the decade? I certainly hope so.
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is scheduled to hit theaters on April 1, 2026.
