A24 has released an official trailer for Bodies Bodies Bodies. 2022 has already given us two great (subjective) slasher films in Scream and X, let’s see if it can give us a hat trick.
If they kill Pete Davidson, this will become my new favorite movie. (Sorry, Pete, it’s nothing personal, but props to snagging Kim Kardashian.)
In all seriousness, this film is packed with actresses on the verge of breaking into A-list territory. Amandla Stenberg has been slowly building up an impressive resume since The Hunger Games. Maria Bakalova won our Best Breakout Film Performance SAWard in 2021 for her work in Borat 2. Finally, Rachel Sennott gave one of the best performances of 2021 in Shiva Baby, also one of the best films of 2021. I’m seeing this in theaters for these three, but also because I love a good slasher.
