Well there you have it. Your top ten movies at the box office this past year. Disney pretty much creamed the competition in 2019. Only 2 movies (3 if you count Spider-Man: Far From Home) weren’t from a property they own. Everything was pretty much a sequel, spin-off or remake. So there is no stopping that train any time soon. DC got the only non Marvel property in there with Joker making like gangbusters for a solid ten weeks. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker squeaked past Hobbs & Shaw for ninth place in only two weeks of being released. Disney ended 2019 on a enormous historical note. The company is officially the first studio in history to surpass $10 billion at the worldwide box office.
