MOVIES WATCHED THIS WEEK

Uncle Peckerhead (2020)

“When a punk band scores their first tour, life on the road proves tough when they are joined by a man-eating demon as a roadie.”

Read King Alvarez’s review here. I agree with what he says. (3.25/5)

Porky’s (1981)

“In 1954, a group of Florida high-school guys try to help their buddy lose his virginity, which leads them to seek revenge on a sleazy nightclub owner and his redneck sheriff brother for harassing them.”

The most 80s sex comedy of all the 80s sex comedies that still makes me laugh. It’s a movie that could not be made at any other time than the early 80s. There are a couple of scenes in this movie that make me ROFL every time I see ’em. You can tell no one is taking this seriously which helps it. I’m sure there are plenty that hates this vile juvenile trash and will roll your eyes at me still like it in this day and age but I got two words for ya! It always shocks me to remember the guy that made this is the same director that made Black Christmas and A Christmas Story. (3/5)

Porky’s II: The Next Day (1983)

“The naughty high schoolers of Angel Beach High now seek revenge on a group of KKK religious fanatics and corrupt politicians who want to shut down their Shakespeare production after they cast a Seminole transfer student in the lead.”

More of the same. A bit sillier and more out there but enough belly laugh scenes to keep me entertained at least. I can’t tell you how many times I have imitated the Woogie boogie scene from this movie. (2.75/5)
