Our mission at SAW is to foster conversations about this thing we all love (or love to hate): film/TV. Many of our features are designed with you in mind. Your opinions, to be more to the point. You have ’em. We want to hear ’em.
Question of the Day (QOTD) is exactly what it sounds like. It’s a film/TV-related question that we put to you, the reader. The comments section below is like the feedback box at work; except, in this example, we actually read what you write and care about what you have to say.
There are a lot of actors who have graced our screen as The Man of Steel, but there is one portrayal that stands out to us more than the rest.
So, the question I ask today is: Who is your favorite live-action Superman?
This was more difficult than I thought and my answer might be a copout because I want to choose both The New Adventures of Lois and Clark (which I’m sure wouldn’t be as good as I remember). as well as Smallville, but those are both TV shows that were able to flesh out the character over a long period of time as opposed to a few movies. I feel that Christopher Reeves was able to personify the character perfectly but watching those movies in the 90’s felt a little dated and I wasn’t able to relate to them had I been alive when the released.
So what about you, screenagers? Who is your favorite live-action Superman?
I’ll see you in the trenches.
