Apple TV+ has released an official teaser trailer for Emancipation, starring Will Smith. Let’s take a look.
This looks good, but I think it’s going to be very hard for this film to get nominated for any major awards after Smith slapped the fuck out of Chris Rock earlier this year.
Antoine Fuqua directed the historical action thriller film from a screenplay written by William N. Collage. In addition to Smith, Emancipation stars Ben Foster, Steven Ogg, Charmaine Bingwa, Gilbert Owuor, Mustafa Shakir, and Grant Harvey, among others.
Plot Synopsis:
An enslaved man embarks on a perilous journey to reunite with his family in this powerful film inspired by a true story.
Emancipation opens in limited theaters on December 2, 2022, before releasing on Apple TV+ on December 9, 2022.
