2019 Emmy Nominations Give ‘Game of Thrones’ a Record 32 Nominations

The 2019 Primetime Emmy nominations were announced today, and Game of Thrones made a huge showing with a record-setting 32 nominations, beating NYPD Blue for the most nominations in a single season. You guys can tell me in the comments whether the final season was worthy of all those nominations.

You can find all the full list of nominations below. Now is it just me or are the numbers way different than previous years? Some categories have five nominees, others six or seven. I was under the impression the Emmys had a standard five nominees per category, similar to the Oscars. Am I wrong?
