Alan Ritchson is finally getting the career he deserves.
After starring as the titular character in Reacher, the actor has suddenly garnered millions of new fans and executives have taken notice. Ritchson has just joined Fast X, the upcoming tenth installment in the Fast and Furious franchise, in an undisclosed role. For those keeping track, yes, that does mean Fast X will feature two actors who have played Aquaman. Jason Momoa versus Alan Ritchson fight, anyone?
As well, Amazon, which releases Reacher on its Prime Video streaming service, recently signed Ritchson to a three-picture deal. Jennifer Salke, head of Amazon Studios, revealed in a statement how thrilled they are at the new partnership:
“Reacher has exceeded our wildest expectations, and Alan’s captivating performance has played a huge role in the show’s success. We could not be more thrilled to continue growing our relationship and to share what are sure to be more brilliant performances with our global Prime Video audience.”
Fast X opens in theaters on May 19, 2023. Reacher has been renewed for a second season.
