Yesterday the BBC released a spooky little teaser for its new three-part special of A Christmas Carol.
Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight has adapted the Charles Dickens classic, starring Guy Pearce as Ebeneezer Scrooge and Andy Serkis as the Ghost of Christmas Past. The three-part series will air on the BBC in the U.K. and FX in the U.S. The series was executive produced by Tom Hardy, who is also attached in a mystery role, alongside Knight and Ridley Scott.
“This production of A Christmas Carol will respectfully present what we believe to be a timely interpretation of a timeless story.” – Steven Knight
The BBC really seems to be hitting the classics these days, with the upcoming series Dracula and their period piece take on War of the Worlds.
Plot Synopsis:
It’s safe to assume that A Christmas Carol will air sometime this December.
