‘Captain America 4’ in Development at Marvel Studios

Cap is back.

(SPOILERS FOR THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER BELOW)

Marvel Studios has hired The Falcon and the Winter Soldier head writer Malcolm Spellman and staff writer Dalan Musson to write the screenplay for a fourth Captain America film. It is expected to continue the story of Anthony Mackie‘s Sam Wilson who took on the mantle of Captain America in the series finale of TFATWS.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, no director or cast has been announced yet, but Mackie is expected to return. It’s possible that Sebastian Stan, Emily VanCamp, and Wyatt Russell will also reprise their roles from the Disney+ series, but that’s purely speculation.

All we know at this time is that the Captain America film series is back in action. And after The Falcon and the Winter Soldier I could not be more excited to see what that looks like.

Are you happy to see Sam Wilson’s Captain America get his own solo film? Do you think it will lead to a trilogy? Who do you want to see Cap fight in the fourth film?
