Disney Fox has officially confirmed the cast for the upcoming Agatha Christie adaptation Death on the Nile. Serving as a sequel to Kenneth Branagh‘s Murder on the Orient Express, will follow in that films footsteps and have an all star cast.
That cast is pretty stellar. Gal Gadot, Armie Hammer, Letitia Wright, Annette Benning, Russell Brand, Rose Leslie, Sophie Okonedo, Ali Fazal, Tom Bateman, Emma Mackey, Dawn French, Jennifer Saunders and of course Kenneth Branagh. Filming has just begun in the UK and Egypt.
The film is being adapted from Christie’s 1937 novel by Michael Green (who also wrote the script for Murder on the Orient Express), picking up with Poirot as he investigates another mysterious murder on the Nile river. Death on the Nile was originally scheduled for December 2019, but following Disney’s acquisition of Fox, the film was pushed back to avoid facing Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
Death on the Nile hits theaters October 2020.
