Celeste O’Connor and Logan Kim Join ‘Ghostbusters 2020’

Two more have answered the call.

Celeste O’Connor and Logan Kim have joined the ensemble cast of Ghostbusters 2020, Variety reports.

The two join previously announced new castmembers Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, and Mckenna Grace. Original franchise stars Bill Murray, Dan Akyroyd, Annie Potts, and Sigourney Weaver are also set to appear.

Jason Reitman, whose father Ivan Reitman directed the original Ghostbusters, will helm the third installment. The film shoots this summer and focuses on a single mother, and her family. It’s unknown exactly how it connects to the original Ghostbusters series.

In a statement, Reitman said:

“Celeste and Logan are rare talents and we’re all grateful that they’ll be lending their unique voices to ‘GB20.’”

If my suspicions are correct, the new Ghostbusters have just finished being cast. Wolfhard, Grace, O’Connor, and Kim will no doubt be handed the proton packs from Murray and Ackroyd. It’s a diverse set of characters that will no doubt win over every demographic. Goddamit Sony, you’ve outdone yourself this time.

Ghostbusters 2020 hits theaters July 10, 2020.

What do you think of Wolfhard, Grace, O’Connor, and Kim being the new Ghostbusters?
