‘Cobra Kai’ Season 3 Trailer Teases an Unlikely Team-up

Netflix has just released a trailer for season 3 of their newly acquired series Cobra Kai. The show no one knew they really wanted until it came out.

I’m not gonna lie, the trailer looks like more of the same from the first two seasons, but that is NOT a bad thing at all. The show does a really great job of mixing nostalgia and continuing the original story. I like that they are finally gonna team Daniel and Johnny up to hopefully defeat the true bad guy in John Kreese. Man that guy sucks.

It’s also pretty cool to see that this trailer shows the return of two Karate Kid Part II characters, Kumiko (Tamlyn Tomita) and Chozen (Yuji Okumoto). Maybe Elizabeth Shue will even make an appearance, she did send him a friend request at the end of season 2. But who knows.

Plot Synopsis:

Cobra Kai takes place over 30 years after the events of the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament with the continuation of the inescapable conflict between Daniel LaRusso (Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (Zabka). Season 3 finds everyone reeling in the aftermath of the violent high school brawl between their dojos, which has left Miguel in a precarious condition. While Daniel searches for answers in his past and Johnny seeks redemption, Kreese further manipulates his vulnerable students with his own vision of dominance. The soul of the Valley is at stake, and the fate of every student and sensei hangs in the balance.
Entertainment Weekly even has some exclusive photos from the upcoming season. Here’s a few to take a look at.

Cobra Kai Season 3 premieres on Netflix in January.
