Jason Statham and Guy Ritchie‘s seventh collaboration has just been revealed.
According to Tudum, Statham will star in Dogfight, a “stylish revenge actioner set in the London criminal underworld” that will be written, directed, and produced by Ritchie for Netflix. Production is slated to begin in early 2027 in the UK.
The production companies behind Dogfight are Black Bear, Toff Guy Films, and Punch Palace. Statham, Ivan Atkinson, and John Friedberg will produce alongside Ritchie.
Dogfight will be the aforementioned seventh film collaboration between Ritchie and Statham. Their shared film credits include Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998), Snatch (2000), Revolver (2005), Wrath of Man (2021), Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre (2023), and the upcoming Viva La Madness.
Viva La Madness is based on the novel of the same name by J.J. Connolly, who co-wrote the screenplay for the film adaptation with Ritchie. Although written as a sequel to Connolly’s 2000 novel Layer Cake, adapted into a 2004 movie starring Daniel Craig, Viva La Madness will have no connection to the Layer Cake movie.
Production on the action thriller wrapped back in April. Statham leads an ensemble cast that includes Vinnie Jones, Jason Isaacs, Babs Olusanmokun, Camila Mendes, Ben Foster, Jonny Lee Miller, and Raúl Alejandro. Black Bear, Toff Guy Films, and Punch Palace also produced Viva La Madness. Black Bear will distribute the film domestically, while Amazon MGM Studios will distribute it in most international markets.
