UPDATE 04/02/2026: Ryan Gosling has exited the Daniels event picture due to scheduling issues. The original story remains as follows.
With Ryan Gosling red hot thanks to the recent success of Project Hail Mary, the Daniels have scooped him up for their Everything Everywhere All at Once follow-up movie.
According to Deadline, Gosling is set to star in Universal‘s untitled event film directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert (a.k.a. the Daniels). Plot details remain under wraps on the project, which will start production this summer in Los Angeles.
The untitled event film will be Daniels’ first film since Everything Everywhere All at Once took the world by storm four years ago. It was A24’s first movie to ever cross $100 million worldwide, as well as the first independent film to achieve the box office milestone during the pandemic.
At the 95th Academy Awards, Everything Everywhere All at Once won seven out of the eleven awards it was nominated for, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actress for lead star Michelle Yeoh. More importantly, it won eight awards at the 4th ScreenAge Wasteland Awards.
The untitled Daniels movie is scheduled to hit theaters on November 19, 2027.
Are you looking forward to Daniels’ next movie? Which genre do you think it will fall under?
