Tarantino’s greatest gift to cinema isn’t his razor sharp dialogue or memorable set pieces but his ability to make everything cool. Even morally reprehensible monsters like cop killers, assassins and Nazis are somehow made cool by Tarantino’s touch. You’re immediately drawn to them and want to spend time with them and once you feel comfortable around them, he makes them do something absolutely horrible. His villains are like spiders weaving a web and once you’re caught, your ass belongs to them.

Forming Film’s video ‘Creating a Terrifying Villain: Inglourious Basterds’ spotlights one of his greatest villains to date: Hans Landa. It goes over his origins, the characters that inspired his creation and why he’s such a great villain.

What did you think about Forming Film’s video? Are you a fan of Inglourious Basterds and/or Hans Landa? And what is your favorite Tarantino villain?
