Eli Roth Developing Feature Version of ‘Grindhouse’ Trailer ‘Thanksgiving’

Next Thanksgiving might be a bit bloodier than usual.

According to Deadline, Eli Roth is finally making a feature-length version of Thanksgiving, the mock horror film trailer he created for Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez’s Grindhouse.

The Thanksgiving trailer teased a movie in which “a slasher makes his own carving board out of the inhabitants of a Massachusetts town that makes a big annual fuss over the annual turkey day.” Watch the trailer below.

Honestly, that trailer looks amazing! I don’t want Roth to change a thing. I’d love for Thanksgiving to feel like a recently unearthed ’80s slasher film that had been lost for the last 40 years. The ultimate throwback to the times of fake blood, creative kills, and excessive nudity.

Shooting on Thanksgiving will begin this March with a script by Jeff Rendell. We’ll keep you posted on any casting announcements that come our way.

Are you excited to see Roth finally making Thanksgiving into a feature?
