The next Evil Dead movie is officially in production.
The official X account for the Evil Dead franchise just shared a behind-the-scenes image from the set of Evil Dead Burn to mark the start of production on the standalone horror movie. First announced in February 2024, Evil Dead Burn is being directed by Sébastien Vaniček, whose previous directorial credits include 2023’s Infested.
Vaniček also co-wrote the screenplay with Florent Bernard. Hunter Doohan, Luciane Buchanan, Souheila Yacoub, and Tandi Wright are starring in Burn, which will be the sixth theatrical installment in the Evil Dead franchise. Sam Raimi and Robert Tapert are attached as producers.
Evil Dead Burn will be released in theaters by Warner Bros. on July 24, 2026.
