Titans has revealed an official look at actor Curran Walters decked out as Red Hood for the upcoming third season of the DC Comics show. The reveal was teased over the weekend, and we finally got an image today that should make fans extremely excited.
Season 2 of Titans ended with Walters’ Jason Todd parted ways with the Titans in a move that looks to have led to donning the Red Hood identity. This is a major departure from the comics which saw Jason Todd brutally beat and killed by the Joker. It was decades until the character was resurrected as the Red Hood. Will a similar situation play out in the show, or will Todd being at odds with the Titans lead to the transformation? I guess that’s what HBO Max, the new streaming distributor for the series, wants us to tune in to find out.
Here’s the official first look alongside some concept art.
That’s definitely a comics accurate representation of the character. Despite the fact Nightwing is my favorite DC character, there hasn’t been anything to entice me into actually watching Titans yet. I’ve heard that the first two seasons have their moments, but that it’s usually all talk and no walk. Maybe the introduction of Red Hood in season 3 will change up the pace. All I know is that I want to see Nightwing kick some ass.
In addition to Red Hood, other Batman characters like Barbara Gordon and Dr. Jonathan Crane are slated to appear in the upcoming season. Titans season 3 is set to premiere later this year.
What do you think of the first look at Red Hood? Do you watch Titans? Will you be watching now that it has moved to HBO Max?
