First Look at Rob Zombie’s ‘The Munsters’ & Nicolas Cage in ‘Butcher’s Crossing’

In June, we found out that Rob Zombie would be writing and directing a feature film based on the 1960s sitcom The Munsters. Since then, Zombie has been sharing photos from the set.

Well, just in time for Halloween, Zombie has given us our first look at three of the stars of The Munsters. In an Instagram post, Zombie shared a photo containing Jeff Daniel Phillips as Herman Munster, Sheri Moon Zombie as Lily Munster, and Dan Roebuck as Grandpa Munster.

Accompanying the image, the writer-director wrote the following caption: “Since Halloween is rapidly approaching I thought it was the perfect time to MEET THE MUNSTERS! Direct from the set in good old Hungary I present Herman, Lily and The Count sitting in front of the newly completed 1313 Mockingbird Lane.”

The Munsters follows “a family of benign monsters who relocate from Transylvania to the American suburbs.” It is set up at Universal Studios’ 1440 Entertainment division.

The first image of Nicolas Cage as a buffalo hunter named Miller in Butcher’s Crossing has been released. Filming is currently underway on the Western in Montana with Gabe Polsky at the helm.

Butcher’s Crossing is a story about “a young Harvard dropout who seeks his destiny out West by tying his fate to a team of buffalo hunters led by Miller. Together, they embark on a harrowing journey risking life and sanity.” The film is an adaptation of the novel of the same name by John Williams.
