The cast of the untitled Godzilla x Kong 3 continues to come together.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Delroy Lindo (Da 5 Bloods) has joined the cast of the upcoming MonsterVerse movie. His casting comes a couple of days after Jack O’Connell (Back to Black) also boarded the sci-fi monster movie. Both actors, coincidentally, will be seen next in Ryan Coogler’s Sinners, which hits theaters on April 18.
Kaitlyn Dever (Last Man Standing, the upcoming The Last of Us Season 2) is leading the human cast of Godzilla x Kong 3. The only other confirmed cast member is Dan Stevens, who is reprising his role from 2024’s Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire as monster veterinarian Trapper. Dever and O’Connell will play siblings, while Lindo will reportedly play Dever’s boss at Monarch.
Grant Sputore is directing the MonsterVerse movie from a screenplay by David Callaham. Plot details remain under wraps, although Legendary has said the story will feature “several new human characters alongside the beloved and iconic Titans Godzilla and Kong as they face off against a cataclysmic world-ending threat.”
The MonsterVerse currently consists of five movies — Godzilla (2014), Kong: Skull Island (2017), Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019), Godzilla vs. Kong (2021), and Godzilla x Kong: New Empire — and two television series — Skull Island (2023) and Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, the latter of which recently wrapped production on its second season.
Godzilla x Kong 3 is scheduled to hit theaters on March 26, 2027.
