May the 4th Be With You and the Newest ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ Trailer

It’s Star Wars Day and Lucasfilm has released a new trailer for Obi-Wan Kenobi. It’s nice and short and doesn’t give a way much. But boy does it look slick.

“Like you trained his father?” Damn Owen, that was cold!

I don’t know about you, but I’m all ion for this show. Sure I’m worried they could mess up some canon with all this action and Kenobi needing to stay hidden. But what the hell, right?

The limited run series reunites Ewan McGregor with Hayden Christensen, who will reprise his role as Darth Vader.

Additional cast for the highly anticipated series includes Indira Varma (Game of Thrones), Rupert Friend (Homeland), Kumail Nanjiani (Silicon Valley), Sung Kang (Power), Simone Kessell (The Crossing), Maya Erskine (PEN15), O’Shea Jackson Jr. (Straight Outta Compton) and Good Times director Benny Safdie. Also, Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse reprise their prequel trilogy roles as young Luke Skywalker’s Uncle Owen Lars and Aunt Beru.

Plot Synopsis:

“The story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of ‘Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith’ where Kenobi faced his greatest defeat: the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, turned evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.”

Obi-Wan Kenobi is set to premiere on the Disney+ on May 27, 2022 and will run for six episodes.
