It’s finally here! SAW’s 1st Annual Movie Madness Tournament to determine what is the best movie of the 2010s. The process was started almost a year ago in order to decide the best of the best films from the past decade. Films were graded by an intricate scoring system in order to eliminate bias and subjectivity to help find the best field of 64 films we could gather. We also had five vote in polls where you guys helped select the remaining films. Seeds and matchups are the only places where subjectivity came into play to help spread the movies out to avoid certain genres from being piled together.
The process is easy. Click on the official voting ballot below, vote for each matchup in round two and submit your form. Voting for round four ends Saturday, March 28th at 11:59 pm CST. Check back on Sunday, March 29th to see who won and to vote for the second round. We will continue weekly till there is one movie standing tall above the rest as the best movie of the 2010s.

Sweet Sixteen Thoughts
Miller Region
Big winner: #1 Fury Road steamrolls its way to the Elite Eight by bullying #4 Whiplash 71.4% to 28.6%.
Next round: There was no upset this round as these two wins set up the only matchup of two highly seeded films. Fury Road and 12 Years a Slave are to very different movies ready to face off and see who makes the Final Four.
Coen Region
Big winner: Inception dominated poor Black Swan 85.7% to 14.3%.
Next Round: #4 Arrival vs #6 Inception will be the toughest matchup of the tournament so far. I love both films and think they are both excellent. This one is a doozy.
Fincher Region
Big winner: Both winners, Dunkirk and Parasite, handled their matchups pretty easily.
Next round: Dunkirk vs Parasite is another difficult matchup where I could see either one winning and moving on to the Final Four.
Jenkins Region
Big upset: Both winners won by the same margin of victory but it was #10 Once Upon a Time in Hollywood dethroning the juggernaut of the Jenkins Region, Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse, that was the most surprising of the entire Sweet Sixteen round.
Next Round: #9 Drive vs #10 Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is an interesting matchup here in the Elite Eight. I’ll be eager to see which movie moves on to the Final Four.
Here is the BRACKET and it will be updated after each round to show the winners and losers.
Let us know you what you voted for and which movie you would like to win the whole thing! Were there any tough matchups that you had a tough time deciding on who to vote for?
