Karen (Amanda Seyfried), Cady (Lindsay Lohan), and Gretchen (Lacey Chabert) look at something off to the left of the image in Mark Waters' Mean Girls (2004).

Lindsay Lohan is reuniting with her Freaky Friday and Mean Girls director Mark Waters for a new Netflix movie titled Return to You.

Announced today by Netflix, Return to You is a new romance feature starring Lohan and Henry Golding. Eric Champnella wrote the screenplay for the movie, which will be directed by Waters.

Set in 2008, Return to You follows a powerful but lonely attorney (Lohan) who, by a twist of fate, mistakenly receives a very emotional DVD from a dying woman addressed to her husband (Golding). Guided only by the clues on the disc, the lawyer sets out to find the woman’s spouse.

Lohan will also produce Return to You. It marks her fourth feature for Netflix, after Falling for Christmas (2022), Irish Wish, and Our Little Secret (both 2024).

Production is already underway on Return to You ahead of its to-be-announced release on Netflix.
