The unofficially titled The Adventures of Cliff Booth will be seen on the silver screen after all.

Per Variety, Netflix has revealed that Cliff Booth will get an exclusive two-week run on IMAX screens and select theaters starting November 25, 2026, before it arrives on the streamer on December 23, 2026. It takes over the IMAX slot that was recently vacated by Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew, which Netflix delayed to 2027 so it could receive a wide theatrical release.

Plot details have been kept under wraps for Cliff Booth, although the sequel will take place in 1977 in “a very different Hollywood.” Brad Pitt and Timothy Olyphant are so far the only actors from Once Upon a Time in Hollywood who are confirmed to be reprising their roles. Pitt returns as the titular Cliff Booth, while Olyphant is back as the real-life actor James Stacy.

Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, Carla Gugino, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Peter Weller, Matt Groove, JB Tadena, Corey Fogelmanis, and Karren Karagulian round out the ensemble for the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood sequel.

Quentin Tarantino wrote the screenplay for Cliff Booth, but did not direct. That job went to David Fincher.
